Abstract
Ovaj diplomski rad tematizira pojam i sadržaj groteske u kiparstvu sa svrhom da se pobliže odredi njeno značenje i njena uloga u suvremenom kiparstvu. Referira se na povijest umjetnosti i na suvremenu kiparsku scenu. Također proučava filozofsko stajalište samog pojma groteske, povezanost groteske s hibridnim i mitološkim bićima i njenu ulogu u povijesti umjetnosti i u suvremenoj umjetničkoj sceni. Krajnji segment ovog rada su moje tri skulpture hibridnih grotesknih bića koje su sastavni dio rada.
Abstract (english)
This graduate thesis thematizes the concept and content of the grotesque in sculpture with the purpose of determining its meaning and its role in contemporary sculpture. It refers to the history of art and the contemporary sculpture scene. It also studies the philosophical point of view of the very concept of the grotesque, the connection of the grotesque with hybrid and mythological beings and its role in the history of art and in the contemporary art scene. The final segment of this work are my three sculptures of hybrid grotesque creatures that are an integral part of the work.
