Abstract
Benjamin Britten bio je dirigent, pijanist i vodeći engleski skladatelj XX. stoljeća. A Ceremony of Carols je vokalno-instrumentalno djelo za troglasni ženski zbor, soliste i harfu (ili glasovir). „Simbioza vokalnih i instrumentalnih dijelova u skladbi A Ceremony of Carols Benjamina Brittena“ je analitička studija. Naglasak ovog rada je na analizi s posebnim osvrtom na odnos pojedinih vokalnih i instrumentalnih dijelova. Muzikološke metode korištene u ovom radu su: povijesna metoda, metoda analize i sinteze te metoda komparacije.
Abstract (english)
Benjamin Britten was conductor, pianist and leading English composer of the 20th century. A Ceremony of Carols is a choral piece scored for three-parts treble chorus, solo voices, and harp (or piano). „The symbiosis of vocal and instrumental parts in composition A Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten“ is an analytical study. It explains the relationship between vocal part and instrumental part, and how these two parts complement each other. Musicological methods used in the study are historical method, method of analysis and synthesis, and method of comparison.
