Abstract
U ovom sam diplomskom radu istražila poveznicu između politike i umjetnosti – glazbe u periodu nacionalnog buđenja; naglasila važnost glazbe u tom odnosu te se osvrnula na skladatelja kojeg se smatra prvim češkim nacionalnim skladateljem koji je postigao svjetsku slavu - Antonína Leopolda Dvořáka. Odabrala sam ovu temu kako bih bolje razumjela djelo koje ću izvesti na diplomskom koncertu – Koncert za violinu i orkestar u a – molu, Op. 53. Metode kojima sam se koristila su: proučavanje literature, slušanje djela te tematike i sviranje koncerta. Uočavanje uzročno-posljedičnih veza u nastajanju djela tog doba pomoglo mi je u interpretaciji prethodno navedenog koncerta. Dvořákova djela predstavljaju jednu potpuno novu povijesnu situaciju: podigao je kulturalnu vrijednost svoje nacije na europsku razinu te je predstavio i šire. Njegova glazbena ostavština jedan je od bedema europske kulturne baštine.
Abstract (english)
In this Master's thesis I conducted the research to find the connection between politics and arts – music in the period of national awakening; I highlighted the importance of music in that background and referred to one of the composers who is considered to be the first Czech composer to achieve worldwide recognition by composing music with national elements - Antonín Leopold Dvořák. I chose this subject to better understand the piece that I will perform at my Master's graduation concert – Concert for Violin and Orchestra in A – minor, Op. 53. The methods I used are: studying the literature, listening to the pieces from that theme field and playing the concert. Recognizing causal link in issuing the piece of that specific period helped me in my interpretation of the violin concerto I previously mentioned. Dvořák’s works represented an entirely new historical situation: he raised the cultural value of his nation to the European level and exported it worldwide. His musical legacy is one of the bastions of European cultural heritage.
