Abstract Doktorska disertacija predstavlja spoj, svojevrstno isprepletanje dviju integralnih disciplina folkloristike: etnomuzikologije i etnokoreologije koje autor smatra nerazdvojivim u procesu istraživanja narodne glazbeno-plesne kulture određenog područja. - 1979. i 2007.
Abstract (english) The doctoral dissertation is a compound, a kind of interplay between the two integral disciplines of folklore: ethnomusicology and ethnochoreology, which the author regards as inseparable in the process of researching the folk music and dance culture of a certain area. The work is the result of the collection of music and dance folklore of Bukovica, Ravni Kotar and their bordered areas in two time periods in the space of thirty years: 1975-1979. and 2007-2012. in an attempt to up-date the time spent by scientific research and gathering of the wellcovered North Dalmatian part of the Dinaric cultural space.
Outstanding materials include separated examples of vocal, instrumental, vocal and instrumental music and dances with or without musical accompaniment, which once represented the archaic autochthonous legacy of the older layer of folkloric practice and the other, newer ways that have been established during the second half of the twentieth century in these areas and today are considered as traditional forms. The unique way of understanding, undoubtedly based on the author's dealing with musical and dance folklore evaluating and processing the folklore material presented in this paper is undoubtedly based on the author's dealing with musical and dance folklore from the earliest youth till today. The first, introductory part of the paper points to the completeness and complexity of the material, the geographic area of research and the aspect of time as a historical-humanistic factor. Second, the central part of the papers deals with various ways of classification of material, in a separate chapter is given the problem of nomenclature and terminology, different personal interpretations of terms that are used in subsequent analytical processing example of music and dance folklore. The third, final part of the paper deals with results and conclusions based on previous analytical procedures and the author's attitude towards the purpose and meaning of ethnomusicological-choreological work from the point of view of the musical and dance folklore practices of the two generations and the pronounced-stylistic differences between the central areas of Bukovica and Ravni kotar.
